NTS 50k DWT Chemical / Oil Tanker
On April 24, “CL AGATHA CHRISTIE”, 50k DWT MR Chemical / Oil tanker, the third ship of the ten series ships, was named and delivered at the New Times Shipyard Area. Being surveyed by China Classification Society, constructed by New Times Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. for China Development Bank Financial Leasing Co., Ltd., and operated by Shandong Shipping Tanker Co., Limited.
The 50k DWT MR Chemical/ Oil tanker, about Length overall :183.24m, Breadth moulded:32.20m, Depth moulded:19.10m and Scantling draft:13.30m, has reached world-leading level in energy conservation, safety, and other performance standards.
The Attained Energy Efficiency Design Index（Attained EEDI） was reduced by 32% compared to reference line value by means of continuous line shape optimization. Meanwhile, it adopts a flexible and efficient loading design, and 20 cargo oil tanks are provided with individual submerged type cargo oil pumps for simultaneous operation of 8 pumps, with the maximum loading or unloading rate of 3000m3/h. The main engine and auxiliary diesel engines adopt SCR technology to reduce NOx to N2 through reducing agents; the fuel system is designed according to the SOx emission control zone requirements, the ship meets the SOx and NOx emission control requirements.
Throughout the entire construction period, the Jiangyin Office of CCS Jiangsu Branch has always paid particular regard to the needs of customers, put quality first, worked overtime, overcome difficulties to guarantee progress, and successfully delivered the ship, receiving unanimous praise from the shipowner and shipyard.
